August-Sept 2025 Newsletter
Intro:
Here we are our second Newsletter for the summer and it looks like fall is right around the corner. For our devoted fans we hope you have enjoyed the summer and our big blockbuster summer of reviews. I am hoping that we roll into fall with our Halloween Horror Month approaching. We are lining up a few guests to join us this year in hopes to make our reviews both fun and educational.
Current Episodes:
1. Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and Return of the King are the episodes that we have in production right now. We should be dropping those in the coming weeks. Expect these to be long form episodes as the guys had a lot to discuss on these films.
Upcoming Episodes:
1. Casino - We are dipping our toe into the world of Martin Scorsese and gangsters while we celebrate another anniversary film . Thirty years of Casino and we have an old guest lined up that we haven’t had in the studio for sometime. Looking forward to discussing another film with our good friend Geoff.
2. Frankenstein - The start of our Horror Halloween Month. We are going back to the original Boris Karloff film with a new guest from the RealReel podcast, Joshua. We are interested in seeing and hearing what his insights are for this Universal horror film.
3. Night of the Hunter - Robert Mitchum and a western, something we haven’t discussed for a few months is a good classic western film. It will be interesting to discuss this film that is officially 70 years old this year. Yes we are continuing our Anniversary films with this black and white classic.
That then brings us to two weeks that we are still looking to fill as Episode 74 and 75 will hopefully be something fun and extravagant as we reach another milestone.
That will also lead us into September where we are recording episodes for our October Halloween Episodes. We have some more guests lined up as we dive into some classic Universal monsters. We will tell you more about that in the next Newsletter.
Director of the Month-
As we have had no suggestions or insights into this we are going to put it on the back burner and see if anyone is interested in discussing Directors in an up coming episode.. Send us your opinion at mamreviewpodcast@gmail.com
