Episode 93 - The Silence of the Lambs

(Chianti with some fava beans)

Directed by Johnathan Demme

In this episode of the Middle Age Movie Views Podcast, the guys are joined by Jeff and Cyber from the MCU Bleeding Edge and Cybernetic Sharks YouTube Channels, to discuss a Classic Horror Film. "The Silence of the Lambs".

Each panelist shares their first encounter with the film, from watching it in the small screen on HBO or on VHS on either a decade after it's release. Rick does give us his account of first seeing this film and thinking it was really dumb when he was a young punk kid.

As the discussion progresses, Tim leads us along the film with highlights of Jodie Fosters acting ability as FBI agent Clarise Starling and her interaction with Hannibal Lecture as played by Sir Anthony Hopkins. Tim gives us a fantastic breakdown of these two first talking about the serial killer Buffalo Bill.

Cyber drops a few nuggets of knowledge along the way as he talks a little bit about Gene Hackman owning the rights to the film. Also Cyber tells us about Sean Connery as an option for Hannibal Lecture.

Find out this and more about The Silence of the Lambs on this episode as we make our way to out 100th episode.
