Episode 27 - GLORY (SHOULD THIS MAN FALL....)

  MIDDLE AGE MOVIE REVIEWS

EPISODE 26 - GLORY
(SHOULD THIS MAN FALL....)

The guys are back this week with the review of a film from 1989.  GLORY directed by Edward Zwick starring a young Matthew Broderick as well as Academy Award winners Morgan Freeman, and Denzel Washington.   The Middle Age guys breakdown the films synopsis and storyline about the 54th Massachusetts Infantry Regiment.

Matt takes a few minutes to review the story line and does his synopsis impression with a flair of Irish influence.  Both Tim and Rick give some historical context to the films liberties as they discuss the soldiers uniforms, weapons, and pay.   All three gents discuss the emotional beats to the film as well as the more heart wrenching scenes in a war film.

Rick points out the key moments that Denzel had that earned him the Academy Award in this movie.  Tim also voices his viewpoints on the death count for the Civil War compared to future wars in American history.

Finally we get a wrap up and the final thoughts into the Death Clock for this film.  Find out this and more on this episode of  Middle Age Movie Reviews Podcast.
