EPISODE 29 - Das Boot (The Most Expensive Coffin)

Our hosts Tim, and Matt are joined by fellow film fanatic Geoff to go on a three hour tour of the Classic Film Das Boot. The three guys talk about this classic film set in World War II but told from the German side of the war. We get an in depth deep dive of the films many cuts and scenes.

Tim tells about the times he got to spend time in a similar submarine and how cramped the quarters where compared to the film. Geoff, talks about the realism to the props and how much of a craft the set design was in producing this movie.

All three look deeply into the films subtext of War and how it effects people, soldiers, and sailors alike.
