MIDDLE AGE MOVIE REVIEWS
Episode 72 - Halloween Horror Month (2025)
Dracula (Orange Dracula, is a tasty drink)
Our hosts continue through the Transylvania countryside, as Matt, Tim, and Joey continue on their month long look at horror films from the Classic Universal Monster Movies. They are joined tonight with their good friend Cyber from Cybernetic Shark and MCU Bleeding Edge podcasts.
As the guys shift through the rubble of Castle Dracula they discover the film canister of the 1931 Classic film Dracula starring Bela Lugosi, Dwight Frye, and Helen Chandler. The four men discuss the films roots on the stage as well as compare it with other takes on Bram Stokers vision of vampires.
Tim tells us what he thinks of Dwight Frye's portrayal of Renfield as Matt agrees that he would have played a great Joker in a 1930's Batman film.
Joey tells us what he likes best of the Count and his thoughts on Bela Lugosi's portrayal of the infamous undead royalty. While Cyber gives us a great impression of the Count or maybe that was Mario?
